Description

A pair of musical cherubs in matte biscuit porcelain, with restrained gilding to their drapery and instruments. Each figure is attached to an ornate gilt-bronze wall support worked with scrolling foliage.

Their animated poses and contrasting white porcelain and warm gilded finishes form a decorative pair.

Dimensions: Each cherub with support — Height: 38 cm · Width: 20 cm.

Materials: Porcelain, Bronze.

Condition: One cherub's finger and flute have glued repairs. The porcelain has age-related handling marks, with rubbing and patina on the gilt-bronze supports. Original close-ups show the repaired hand and instrument.

One of a kind. Two cherubs with their respective gilt-bronze supports, sold together as one pair. The price includes both.
