1906 Gilbert Mantel Clock with Bronze Mounts

A 1906 American mantel clock with a dark wooden case, bronze mounts, lion-mask sides and an aged Roman-numeral dial. Paired columns, marbled decorative accents and scroll feet give the case its architectural character.

The movement bears the Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. mark of Winsted, Connecticut, U.S.A., and a 1906 stamp. The supplier lists the clock as working, with a quarter-hour strike.

Condition: visible wear to the finish, scratches and small losses, particularly around the rear access door and along the edges. The dial and metal fittings retain signs of age. Please refer to the original detail photographs.
