A porcelain ewer with a deep cobalt-blue ground, gilt foliate decoration and a tall scrolling handle. A colourful romantic scene fills the oval medallion on the front, while the reverse carries a gilt arrangement of flowers and musical instruments.

Its decorative treatment recalls Sèvres-style porcelain; no maker attribution is established.
