Description

A sculptural gilt-bronze mantel clock crowned by a reclining female figure beside a flower-garlanded urn. Flowing drapery, acanthus scrolls and floral reliefs surround the white dial with blue Roman numerals and a fine outer minute scale.

The bronze bears the signature A. Carrier. Described as a French nineteenth-century piece with mercury gilding; the dating and attribution have not been independently authenticated.

One of a kind.

Dimensions: Width 76 cm × Depth 29 cm × Height 52 cm.

Material: Gilt bronze.

Condition: Age-related rubbing, darkening and wear to the gilding remain visible, particularly around the signed base. The close-up photographs document these details. Movement functionality has not been verified.
