Pair of Sèvres-Style Cobalt Porcelain Urns with Musical Scenes

A pair of lidded porcelain urns in a Sèvres-inspired style, with cobalt-blue grounds, gilt decoration and painted medallions of classically dressed figures making music. Gilt handles and stepped circular bases complete the pair.

Dimensions: Each: Height: 52 cm · Width: 16 cm

Materials: Glazed porcelain with gilt and painted decoration.

Condition: Pre-owned, with rubbing and small losses to the gold decoration, especially on the lids, handles and bases. The foot rims show marks from use. The original photographs show both painted scenes and the reverse of the pair.
